Improving safe mobility in Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple Sclerosis affects approximately 100,00 people in the UK. For many, loss of mobility is a significant issue, leading to reduced independence and increasing isolation. Poor balance and falls contribute significantly to mobility loss in MS. There is an urgent need to identify ways that people with MS can safely improve their balance and reduce falls. The BRiMS project is a research study which aims to achieve this goal.
Over the last two years we have been undertaking a trial to test the feasibility of our new mobility, falls and balance programme. The results are now being published.
